In a garage, the better starting point is usually powder-coated steel, aluminum, or PVC/high-pressure laminate systems, because they resist both moisture and pests in a way that even good-quality sealed plywood can’t fully match in an uncontrolled environment. If wood cabinetry is what a project calls for, sealed exterior-grade plywood is the material to use, never particleboard or untreated wood, both vulnerable to swelling and, in Florida specifically, pest damage. Planning around EV charging

Charger placement, cable routing, and clearance around the vehicle’s charging port all affect where cabinetry can go.
